Chris Koser has worked as a professional director and cinematographer for over 8 years, filming all over the world for a diverse range of clients.
Chris got his start at a young age shooting short films in Seattle. After receiving an interdisciplinary degree in creative writing, psychology and film from Western Washington University, he was hired out of college as a director for the film and commercial production company Hand Crank Films. During his employment at Hand Crank Films, Chris shot over 150 commercials for TV and web. In 2013, Chris chose to become a freelance director and cinematographer and has since shot for clients such as AMD, Deloitte, Taco Bell, PACCAR, Chevy, Ford, Outdoor Research, Microsoft and the Gates Foundation.
In the documentary realm, Chris has directed a number of short-form web documentaries and international documentary projects in over fifteen countries including Uganda, India, Africa, Thailand, Myanmar and Bangladesh. He has managed projects from large-scale productions, to solo assignments, and has captured everything from high fashion to off road racing in the Mexican deserts. He loves the craft and spirit of filmmaking and brings a clear vision, good-natured attitude and collaborative spirit to every project he works on. Today, Chris contracts as a full-time freelance director/cinematographer in Los Angeles CA, lensing commercial, short films, music videos and feature films.
